DWU captains

Thomas Pickett, Nick Cappuccilli and John Greicar are the captains of the 2011 DWU baseball team. The three seniors all will graduate this spring.

Pickett, a closer on the pitching staff a year ago, will be one of the team's top starters this season. He is a warrior and will be looked to for his leadership abilities this season.

Cappuccilli, a junior college transfer, is coming off shoulder surgery this past fall and hopes to be back on the mound in time for the conference opener. A free spirit, Capp (as he is called) keeps things loose in practice but is a strong supporter of hard work and dedication.

Greicar, from Grand Forks, ND, is also a junior college transfer entering his second year with the Tigers. He loves to play the game and is willing to help out each and every one of his teammates.

The captains are leading by example. The DWU team will represent each of our captains. The Tigers will be fundamentally sound, fierce, hard working and have a passion for the game.
